Aloha folks! I have updated the summer sailing plan with a few details like the harbor in Albania that we will go to at the end of the Albania trip and that we will start from for the Montenegro trip: Durres. Several people have asked. Most importantly: I have updated and slightly changed the fall sailing plan. In the thhird week of September I will do one more boatwork-week. We will then not stop in Methoni anymore as my impression is that some people find it „hard to get to“ (there are buses from Athens but no airport nearby). Instea of going to Methoni, we will sail „in one go“ around the Pelloponesos September 21 – 28. It is a good opportunity to explore remote anchorages like one of my favorite Greek beaches: Elafonisos. We will end in Poros and start the fall Cyclades trips from the island of Poros. Poros has not only a super beautiful harbor promenade, it also can be reached easily from Athens via ferry AND, most importantly: It is the „entry door“ to the Cyclades, making for a much easier sail into the wild island world of what some consider „the real deal“ of sailing in Greece. Come enjoy this with me in off-season, lets visit the volcanic springs on Kithnos, the lonely bays of Serifos, the very Greek Cyclades harbor city of Ermoupoli on Syros (no foreign tourists there basically) and then have a land-excursion day on the super-beautiful Milos or sail to the party island of Mykonos. Or maybe we venture even deeper into the Cyclades? This is for those who seek adventure, and some Magical Ocean Sailing 😉
