Curious to find out a bit more in-depth where Free Spirit will sail in 2026 or just want to to have it a bit visualized? Here you go! See the trip plan in maps π
In late May and in September we will sail a total of 7 trips in the Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades. Easy to get to, more chill in the Saronic Gulf, a bit more adventurous if you sail to the western Cyclades but also longer sails.
In June I am offering trips to Rhodos and Crete and from Crete to Kalamata – this will bring you to off-the-beaten-path remote Cyclades and Dodecanese islands and parts of the north coast of Crete where charters boats usually cant go π
From mid-June to mid-July we will do several trips in Southern Greece and also sail to remote bays and anchorages where you usually cant go if you charter a boat in Athens or Corfu π If you join there you fly to Athens and then take a bus to Kalamata – the region is famous for its olives.
Many islands, shorter and longer sails, green mountains, elegant Italian flair: The Ionian Sea is a dream sailing area and we will sail there July 11-18 and August 15 – 29.
In late-July we will start our Balkans-adventure with an Albania trip. We already went there in summer 2024, we liked it, so we will do it again. For sailors Albania is still off-the-beaten path so this is for adventurous open-minded people π Then we will do two trips in Montenegro and its awesome fjord-like Kotor bay with its huge mountains close to the sea – really quite a view! People who like offshore sailing will get a dose of it on our trip from Tivat back to Korfu August 8 – 15.
One new thing this year will be „Remote-Work-Trips“. May 9 – 16 and October 3-10, I will offer two weekly trips for those who want to bring their laptops and work from the boat – or want to try it out. Jump into the water into morning before opening our laptop, soak in some sun on deck for lunch break before heading back into the salon to work on your screen another 3-4 hours before we either end the evening together with some swimming around the boat, a taverna evening or chilling on deck. The idea is to do minimal sailing, just 1-2 hours a day, maybe stay 2 days in a nice anchorage, to give enough space and time for remote-work. We will do it in the Saronic Gulf which is well protected and has no swell and short distances between bays.
